How To Reheat McMuffins

Have you ordered too many McDonald’s McMuffins, and found yourself wondering if they can be reheated and eaten later? Or even the next day?
The last thing you want is stale buns and a rubbery, chewy egg. So how can you avoid this?
Well, I’ve tried out four different reheating methods, and I’m pleased to report that it is indeed possible to restore a McMuffin to its former glory.
By this, I mean soft bread, a tasty egg, and a juicy, succulent patty.

  • 1 piece McMuffin (sausage, bacon, or egg)

  • Set your stove to medium-high and disassemble the McMuffin.
  • Lightly oil a frying pan.
  • Fry your egg and patty for 1 to 2 minutes on each side.
  • Place the buns in the pan, cut side down.
  • Sprinkle some water around the edge of the pan.
  • Cover the pan with a lid for 1 minute.
  • Remove the components, reassemble, and serve.

Sprinkling water around the pan creates steam which helps to soften the bread (although it won’t perform miracles).
If you’re bread is stale, or you want it really soft, consider whizzing it through the microwave for a few seconds as an alternative to pan-heating it.
